Ridiculous, you say? Organization behind the PSA, the Women’s Media Center, also released this reel of real-life examples of extreme sexism and/or misogyny on the air:
Ninety years after American women won the right to vote, the “Name It, Change It” campaign specifically targets incidences of media misogyny directed at women running for elected office “through a coordinated rapid response network”, i.e. engaging all available social media channels.
With elections for the United States House of Representatives and some Congress seats coming up in November, there has never been a better time to speak out.
