I’ll just put it out there: Those eyes are freaking me out.
These ads for CARA Welfare Philippines are based on a strong insight, but the reflective eyes completely alienate me from what would otherwise be an emotionally-engaging animal picture. While I agree that the internet doesn’t really need more adorable cat pictures, these pets make me feel like they will eat my soul as soon as I fall asleep. Another unfortunate example, IMHO, of ad creatives lacking empathy with the audience and the subject matter.
