Be That Woman Challenge

No high tech but just a few line drawings, with no words, just music. Produced by RP3 Agency on behalf of the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, this tale of one woman’s journey from a position of need to one of strength shows the power of investing in women and girls.

The video is meant for fundraising, goal is build a social media fueled movement at bethatwoman.org. The next phase will involve sharing personal stories of women who have made a difference in people’s lives.

Founded in 1998, Washington Area Women’s Foundation is dedicated to helping women in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area thrive through philanthropy that invests in and empowers all women, girls and their families. The foundation is doing by this donor education and engagement, grantmaking and leadership development, and public awareness programs and research.

I love the message that is conveyed - giving aid to one woman can result in a chain of success - and the way that it’s done - gently, giving the situation the proper seriousness without feeding into stereotypes of the “welfare queen”.
