“The destruction of the rainforest comes in many shapes. And there are all kinds of animal and plant species which suffer as a result. Every hour three different types of animal and plant life are made extinct. Help us to save the rainforest: www.oroverde.de."

Very nice idea, although it nearly makes the machines look good…

great poster IF...they didn’t include machines that are used in tree planting?! and didn’t include machines that were designed to minimize site disturbance and impacts...and didn’t ignore the fact that a hefty portion of rainforest logging isn’t nearly this mechanized.

Surely the best way to “minimise site disturbance and impact” is to not destroy the rain forests to begin with i’m sure the animals don’t care what the machines are doing they are still driving them out of their homes and scaring the living s**t out of them. How would you feel if a huge piece of mechanical metal started destroying your home and forcing you out of your habitat. And besides whether or not rain forest logging is this mechanized or not the fact of the matter is that the logging is taking place. The important fact is the extinction of species after all however i can see your point that they have focused on machinery that does not destroy however i feel the idea of replacing what would normally be species of animals with machinery does have more of a lasting impression regardless of what the machines are actually used for. If it makes people think in the desired way surely that is what matters.
