Does the religious right rule over you?

Posted by Marc | 26-12-2007 17:10 | Category: Activism, Human rights, Media, Religion

“Restriction on free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions. It is the one un-American act that could most easily defeat us.”
(William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice 1939-1975)

This video from 2006 is made by FCCFU, a organisation who fights the strict regulations of the FCC (the American Federal Communications Commission).
The FCC has been criticized on many fronts, both for being too restrictive and too permissive in its regulation.
In the early 2000s, the FCC began stepping up censorship and enforcement of indecency regulations, most notably following the Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction” that occurred during the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXVIII.

In the video below stand-up comedian Carlos Mencia rants about censorship vs. choice.
