Global Oneness Project

Posted by Marc | 12-04-2009 10:30 | Category: Culture, Environment, Media, Religion, War & conflicts

It’s a shame I didn’t know about the Global Oneness Project. A great project about sustainability, conflict resolution, spirituality, art, economics, indigenous culture, and social justice.
The Global Oneness Project is exploring how the radically simple notion of interconnectedness can be lived in our increasingly complex world. The people behind the project travel around the globe since 2006 gathering stories from creative and courageous people who base their lives and work on the understanding that we bear great responsibility for each other and our shared world.

Their library of films is available for free from the project website, through select broadcast outlets, and on DVD. Through events and educational materials they offer opportunities for people to deepen their experience with the different facets of oneness we are exploring.

The Global Oneness Project is a special project of Kalliopeia Foundation, a private grant-making foundation in northern California USA.

Above the trailer of the 25 min. movie which is downloadable here.
“What if the world embodied our highest potential? What would it look like? As the structures of modern society crumble, is it enough to respond with the same tired solutions?”

The project now have 26 short films and 233 interviews.
Thanks culturetalent.

I know, right? Why didn’t we hear of this before? Great concept and pretty well executed. Dig around the interviews section, and not just on a rainy day. One of my favorites is M.C. Mehta and his work on environmental conservation in India.

Beautiful concept! Within the subject of interconnectedness and changing the world, you should make a visit to http://www.pifworld.com, an online fundraising platform in a web 2.0 google-like manner! We think through the principle ‘Play it forward’ and want to change the world with small efforts and a lot of people! I’d like to hear your comments on this! Thanks, Anouk

Making A Do-Ference at The Design Ethos Conference 2012

I recently had the privilege of being invited to speak and participate in the 2012 Design Ethos Conference/Do-ference at Savannah College of Art and Design. The creator of the conference, Scott Boylston, is a longtime friend in the relatively small socially conscious design community and I was delighted that…
