Very strange protest ads at first sight in my opinion. I don’t like the style but who cares. The subject is shocking.

Romania, 20 March 2006 - During the course of last night 12.000 posters were put up by volunteers in the streets of many cities. This is the first time that such kind of action has been used for an environmental campaign anywhere in the world. The MindBomb for Rosia Montana! protest aims to highlight the problem of environmental pollution in Romania and its relationship to the overwhelming corruption of the state and local authorities - a phenomenon that is eroding Romania ‘s society from within.

MindBomb for Rosia Montana! is a protest against the planned open cast gold mine at Rosia Montana which would make intensive use of cyanide. It is equally a protest against the publicity campaigns of Gabriel Resources (TSX:GBU) and Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (RMGC) for this extremely dangerous project.

The copy is the first ad:
GOLDLICKER!
„The project is an honourable duty towards the ‘Moti’ Country. It stands against demagogy and against a few people’s wish to enrich themselves.”
Romania ‘s President Traian Basescu in support of the Rosia Montana opencast gold mine development, Alba Iulia, 29 March 2004.

The copy of the second ad:
THE MEDIA MA$$ ACRE PRESENTS GABRIEL’S SOLUTION: CYANIDE
The airing of publicity for Gabriel on television and in newspapers violates the rights of Rosia Montana ‘s locals.
DON’T BE PART OF THIS LIE!
REFUSE PUBLICITY FOR CYANIDE!
