“We love Apple. Apple knows more about “clean” design than anybody, right? So why do Macs, iPods, iBooks and the rest of their product range contain hazardous substances that other companies have abandoned? A cutting edge company shouldn’t be cutting lives short by exposing children in China and India to dangerous chemicals. That’s why we Apple fans need to demand a new, cool product: a greener Apple.”
I asked you a few posts ago to sent in interactive campaigns from nonprofits. Well is here is new one from Greenpeace.
Communicating wasn’t the best part of the work of Greenpeace but they made now a very strong demand to the computer industry.
Apple is a progressive trade mark for years imho, I’m working on a Mac since 1986 and it brought me a lot of pleasure (and bread :-).
Greenpeace started a new campaign a few days ago for getting Apple a environmental responsible trade mark. I think it will give a lot of discussions on the net. No problem, let’s talk about it.
If Apple is smart, and I think they are, the had to honour the demand of Greenpeace. It will make them bigger as they are now. And the copycats of the industry will follow.
Let’s start with the logo, make it green.
Visit the Greenpeace dedicated site, you will find a lot of interactive stuff on it.
