“Must Try Harder” is the new campaign from Amnesty International in the Czech Republic. The campaign is about discrimination and segregation of Romani children in education in the country and the video which is the key visual features different children of different nationalities being asked to spell the word discrimination.
Romani children in the Czech Republic are not getting the same education as other children. They’re bullied, kept separate from other pupils and placed in schools for pupils with learning disabilities. The European Commission has criticised the Czech government for failing to tackle this discrimination and Amnesty is now trying to mobilise the public with this petition in the form of an email for the prime minister.
