We have lots of dictators in our archive and this new campaign from the Swiss Frauenzentrale is no exception in terms of visual language. It is about the two different sides, friendly and violent. The Swiss organization plays it safe by choosing already dead dictators. I wonder if this was a deliberate choice.
In this campaign about domestic violence women are portrayed with their partners who look exactly the same as well known historic tyrants. The comparison is made because every two weeks, a woman in Switzerland dies as a result of domestic violence.
The Frauenzentrale is a partnership between 21 centers for women in Switzerland.
