In this new campaign from Meir Panim, the Relief Centers in Israel, the new ‘winter collection’ is shown from poor and homeless. The campaign is made by Tel Aviv based agency Shimoni Finkelstein Draftfcb.
The idea is to demonstrate the contrast between worshiping a piece of clothing and desperately needing one for survival. A big fashion production, of models wearing used clothes was staged.
Models, defined by their looks and what they wear, stand for glamorous and desirable. By revealing where these clothes come from, the work provides a new perspective on our worship to fashion.

The campaign draw lots of press and is getting quite a good respond. The campaign runs on outdoor, print and also by a catalogue which will be distributed throughout fashion retail stores.

Meir Panim was established in 2000 by David and Rivka Zilbershlag in loving memory of their son, Meir z"l, who passed away after a short battle with a sudden infection. During Meir’s short life of thirteen years and two months, he could not enjoy food due to a rare liver disease. Today, thousands of people enjoy food each and every day in his merit.
Many people dream of contributing, in their own way, to world peace. Meir Panim helps realize that dream by recruiting a colorful tapestry of volunteers from all walks of life, who work side by side to assist our brothers, sisters, and children in need.

Comments about Meir Panim launched new Winter Collection

The creative team had a smart concept...but I think it’s backfired and turned into a series of ads that don’t incite action.

The models are too handsome and beautiful (real models obviously) and the clothes actually look pretty hip!!! How the hell did the girl get her skirt so nicely ironed and the guy get that jacket so well pressed?

The chic without a hat actually looks like she’s on a highstreet runway.  Anyone else see this?

Totally ineffective.
