PETA claims vegans are sex animals

The science is questionable. I’m pretty sure that carnivorous animals have lots of intercourse, too, and most animal sex (with exceptions such as bonobos and their uptight primate cousins, humans) is pretty nasty, brutish and short.

However, I’ll still commend PETA for producing a “sexy vegan” PSA that doesn’t denigrate women, or human sexuality in general:

The only scandalous thing about this campaign is the way PETA calls it “NSFW” (Not Safe For Work) and “Risqué”.

Animals humping? My 8-year-old son can just look out the window and see the squirrels doing it. Or, just watch one of his many nature shows. Or visit a farm.

Who knew PETA could be such prudes?

Branding a time-bound campaign, Forest & Bird did it.

It’s not new but it is not often used: branding for a time-bound campaign. The kind of branding used for temporary purpose. Forest & Bird did it recently for their Love Nature: Vote 2014 campaign. New Zealand’s largest independent conservation organisation wanted nature back on the political agenda. The future…

Can fundraising marketers recreate the #icebucketchallenge?

Yesterday, it finally happened. Somebody challenged me to the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS. If your internet connection has been broken all summer, it’s this year’s big meme. You can read about it here. To be honest, I felt that the movement had passed its high-water mark when I saw…
