Love this new ad from the Toronto Humane Society. It neatly punctures a very human behaviour — the desire for novelty — and one which causes untold suffering to millions of dogs every year. If you’ve ever visited an animal rehoming centre and seen the puppies and kittens being cooed over, while older animals watch by forlornly, you’ll know what I mean.
As ever with this kind of ad, the idea is simple. And it can be done one of two ways — well, or badly. But the targeting is right, the casting is right, the timing is right. And the ad, created by agency Grip has been viewed over 160,000 times.
