“WE ARE NOT AFRAID to stand against the countless acts of violence, hate, discrimination, and abuse witnessed globally,” declares the campaign website.

We promote non-violence, respect for diversity, universal education, and peaceful resolution of conflict.

We will not allow these despicable acts to change our way of life or shake our demand for a free society globally.

To raise money for Human Rights Watch (HRW) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), We Are Not Afraid urges people to participate in a simple social action: Holding up a paper sign and pledging support.

To promote the movement, We Are Not Afraid has harnessed some pretty impressive star power.

The video by Kevin Godley features a number of classic and contemporary celebrities, including Keith Richards, Robert Plant, Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Brian May, Chuck D, Bunny Wailer, Iggy Pop, Sly & Robbie, Debbie Harry, Chaka Khan, Brian Wilson, George Clinton and many more musicians, artists, and actors.

The song, by Nigerian reggae singer-songwriter Majek Fashek, is for sale online with all proceeds going to the charitable recipients. (You can also donate directly at the site.)

The video may be a typical slideshow of celebrity endorsement, but the song is catchy as hell.
