Sean Penn’s Hunger Appeal

WFP has produced a new PSA starring actor/director Sean Penn. The 30 second PSA asks viewers to consider a “human rescue plan” during the global financial crises and is due to be released during the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland. It shows actor Sean Penn unrolling rolls of dollar bills that create a graph showing the disparity between the various finacial rescue plans and the Iraq War with what it would cost to feed every hungry school child for a year.

Absolutely agreed. It’s short, simple, visual, and uses celebrity in a low-key, dignified way. I would love to see more like this.
