Sexual assault survivors are still “Unbreakable”

Back in February, Reuben introduced us to Project Unbreakable. It’s an online gallery on Tumblr, started last fall by a 19-year-old photographer, Grace Brown, who photographs sexual assault survivors holding signs with quotes from their attackers.

I had forgotten about the project (which I feel bad about) until Gwen Sharp blogged it today at Sociological Images.

If you can handle the roller coaster of anger, defiance, disgust and empathy, the site is definitely worth another visit. Many more.

    This is an amazing idea! Truly something that inspired me today. A great way ti cope with things like this. Really who ever started this project was a Genius!!
