Sound Off For Justice II

Posted by Marc | 6-07-2011 20:08 | Category: Government, Politics

Good second video from the Sound Off For Justice campaign about which I wrote before. This follow-up have the same interactive part as the first video.
This video is about unfair dismissal. An example for where legal aid is for.
The campaign aims to draw attention to the UK governments proposed cuts to Legal Aid.

It’s always a blow to lose a job, often it is a corporate or financial necessity but sometimes it’s without good reason and is due personal politics. It happens to thousands of people in the UK every year.  This is what is unfair and shouldn’t be allowed. When unfairly dismissed people often take their former employer to court with the support of Legal Aid. However, if the government cuts happen, there’ll be nothing you can do about unfair dismissal at work, as Legal Aid will have been completely removed in cases of employment. So if you can’t afford a solicitor, you can’t take your employers to court and you’ve got no chance of any recompense.

When the interactive part in the video isn’t working properly try the video on the campaign website.

Africa For Norway was one of the highlights we wrote about last year. ‘The funniest campaign this year’ I said. Being funny was the strategy Sindre Olav Edland-Gryt explained in the recently recorded TEDx talk in Barcelona. It’s Radi-Aid vs Oh Dear. “By turning the tables the spoof video has…
