The HIV Hop
Posted by Marc | 29-11-2012 20:45 | Category: HealthNice new video from Sheffield England. It’s from the Centre for HIV and Sexual Health made for World Aids Day.
The HIV Hop is a general public awareness campaign aimed at people in Sheffield to reduce stigma and misconceptions around HIV transmission.
The campaign focusses on making it clear how HIV cannot be transmitted, addressing common myths and misconceptions that may be relevant to how both the general public and professionals interact with people living with HIV. The campaign centres around a music video showing the ways HIV cannot be transmitted, focussing on every-day social situations.
YouTube is the most important channel to reach youth. That’s why the organisation chose to use the YouTube page as the main entry to the campaign. Their Facebook page is also mentioned and that’s all. Remarkable.
