Second post with work from BUND, the German Friends of the Earth. They want consistent ecological politics.
In this adbusting campaign they changed original ads from three German car manufacturers, BMW, Mercedes and VW.
The European automobile combination (ACEA) committed itself to lower the average CO2-emission. According to BUND the three car manufacturers didn’t build the new cars commiting to the new appointments about CO2-emission. There cars are designed for speed, sportyness and luxury instead of climatic protection and thriftiness.
It’s obvious which ad above is the original one and which are adbusted.

BUND ask you to take part in there BUND Adbusting Wettbewerb, that is German for Adbusting Design Contest. Artwork can send in until March 31 2007. You can find all information about the contest here, of course it is in German. The price for the best ad is a bike.

Okay, I don’t get it. I mean, I get the BMW ruining the Earth part and the first Mercedes-Benz R-Class 4MATIC one, but what’s up with the second Mercedes ad and the Volkswagen ad? And I know they’re German car companies, but can they translate it into English? Could someone explain the last two ads two me and could some German translate it into English in a comment? Please?
