Scouting has been around for over 100 years. And many new activities for young people have passed by in that century. Scouting has gotten a dull image in recent years. Yet they are the best in outdoor they say themselves in this video.
It is the new campaign from Scouting Switzerland. This spot will soon be seen in cinemas as start of a campaign to recruit new members. Because scouting is pretty cool.

The Christmas campaign about people who have been out of luck

Heilsarmee Schweiz - For people who have been out of luck - Für Menschen, die vom Glück verlassen warden - Christmas campaign

This is the well-known Christmas campaign from the Swiss Salvation Army. It’s already the third year of the campaign.
The main difference with previous years is that the fundraising campaign now includes a TV spot.

For people who have been out of luck (Für Menschen, die vom Glück verlassen wurden) shows the two sides a face. A happy and an unhappy side.

The spot is made without a single cut and shows the gradual decline of a successful person. The Salvation Army is always there, whatever the side of the face looks like.

Director Alain Gsponer shows the development of the campaign, from the measuring of the participants to the mannequins being displayed in the stores on Bahnhofstrasse:

Branding a time-bound campaign, Forest & Bird did it.

It’s not new but it is not often used: branding for a time-bound campaign. The kind of branding used for temporary purpose. Forest & Bird did it recently for their Love Nature: Vote 2014 campaign. New Zealand’s largest independent conservation organisation wanted nature back on the political agenda. The future…

Can fundraising marketers recreate the #icebucketchallenge?

Yesterday, it finally happened. Somebody challenged me to the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS. If your internet connection has been broken all summer, it’s this year’s big meme. You can read about it here. To be honest, I felt that the movement had passed its high-water mark when I saw…
