There is actually just one message in this new campaign video from Alzheimer’s Research UK. It is about the claim that dementia is just an inevitable part of ageing. This claim is canceled out by a comparison between the human brain and an orange.
In fact, the brain of a person with Alzheimer’s is so damaged, it weights a 140 grams less than a healthy brain. That’s about the weight of an orange. It is the prove that it is a physical disease and not part of ageing.
