Bald headed for Birma

Bald headed for Birma

This campaign was made by Hendrik Haase from Germany. It is for an Amnesty International action that consisted of shaving the heads of students on the international students day at the university. In solidarity to the persecuted monks of Birma, the students were encouraged to let their hair go (Haare Lassen in German) and get bald headed .

The Poster was communicating the message through the known tear off snippets on the bottom, that is very popular on handmade student posters. The poster was placed on the Billboards of the university and was losing it’s paper hairs on which additional information of the action could be found. The action got a huge media response with TV, Newspaper and Radio appearing and reporting at the Tent were the shaving took place.
