
The recycling logo is one of the most readily recognizable logos in the world. But lately, the global company Sappi decided that “creativity matters” and created new designs to challenge the well-known bent-arrows symbol.

The recycle symbol was designed by Gary Anderson in 1971: « As the need to recycle refuse becomes ever more pressing, it is comforting to know that what we buy or use has had or can have another life in another form. »
Today, changing this very widespread logo seems risky. But remember Oscar Wilde’s quote: “an idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all.”
