One Knife, Many Victims

One Knife, Many Victims

This is the story of Mark. Mark’s night kicks off like any other. But a decision he makes early on will turn his life upside down. And not his own life, his decision affects everyone round about him too. And that is what made this short film so special. The story is more than one stab.

The film is made by agency Leith for Scottish charity No Knives Better Lives.

Knife crime statistics have been falling continuously in recent years in Scotland. But in certain pockets of certain communities, carrying a knife still feels like a real option. Leith spoke to some of those children and young people a year and a half ago to try and understand how we might talk them out of it.

More about the proces on the Leith website and this Q&A at YCN.

Some of the young actors in this film have been affected by knife crime. All are from the Glasgow area and had no previous acting experience.
