Our latest Pinkverts find is a collection expensive pink running gear by ASICS.
From their site:
ASICS has teamed with actor and breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate’s Right Action for Women, a foundation formed “to educate women about what it means to be at “high risk” for breast cancer and encourage them to talk to their doctors about appropriate screening.” ASICS’ special edition pink product line will go on sale October 1st, with a minimum donation of $75k up to $100k of pink product proceeds going to assist women fighting the disease.
Right Action for Women is an interesting group. Founded by Christina Applegate, herself a survivor, the foundation “provides aid to individuals who are at increased risk for breast cancer and do not have insurance or the financial flexibility to cover the high costs associated with breast screenings.” In the private medical system of the United States, that probably accounts for a high number.
If you would like to make a donation to Right Action for Women without having to buy branded pink running shoes, you can do so here.
