This video is part from a very nice volunteers initiative called the 9/11 Good Deed Challenge. As they name makes clear it is based on the terrorist act 14 years ago. It is a call on all Americans to perform good deeds that help others and pay tribute to those lost on that day.
Over 13,000 children were born that day is an appealing fact and a great starting point for this campaign. After seeing the faces of several children in the campaign video, the camera focuses on Hillary O’Neill who was born at 2pm that day.
Andreas Dahlqvist, Chief Creative Officer of Grey New York, the agency behind the campaign:
When we interviewed these children born on 9/11, we quickly found out that none of them wished their birthdays were different. In fact, they feel strongly that they represent what’s good in the world. They are very hopeful about the future and are determined to give back to others.
Above is 60 seconds version. The longer version below is much better. That’s storytelling as it should be and i’m sure it’s much more effective.
