Wednesday June 21st is the longest night of the year. But when you’re a young person who is homeless and living on the streets, it feels even longer. Another night of being cold, hungry and lonely.
There are 26,000 homeless young people in Australia each night of the year. That is 1 in 70 young people aged 12-18 years.
Open Family will hold “The Longest Night Appeal” in June to raise awareness about issues of youth homelessness.
