Latvia is an independent state since 1991. In the years before it was occupied by Russia and that presence is still noticeable. Like the bad state of the houses built at that time.
This film, made by London based animator Kris Hofmann, is about the need of renovation works on these houses. It was commissioned by the Latvian and Baltic Energy Efficiency Board with the aim of encouraging residents of soviet-era housing to agree to much needed renovation works. The goal is to improve living quality and to save energy. The Latvian organization has set up a comprehensive program for that.
