We Are The World spoof asks Americans to vote (but not for Trump)

Thankfully, the US Presidential election will be over soon. But not before we see lots of last-minute efforts to smear rivals, enflame partisan anger, and — most importantly — get out the vote.

The Millennial vote is especially important in this one, and Funny Or Die has put its considerable viral power behind the anti-Trump movement. This video, which in a couple of days has racked up more than two million views, spoofs celebrity cause videos quite hilariously. Its mixed bag of familiar faces includes Elizabeth Banks, Moby, Mayim Bialik, Adam Scott and more. The principal creative force is Rachel Bloom, creator and star of the American TV series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

It’s good for a laugh. Will it make a difference in the election? Unlikely, but at least it’s entertaining.
